The Company Club Difference
Resident is what the modern office should be: a curated place where the right environment drives your company's values, culture, and performance. While others sell desks and Wi-Fi, we build communities. While others focus on amenities, we focus on the people who matter most: your peers, collaborators, and the connections that will define your company's future.
We believe great companies are built through proximity to other great companies. The magic happens when ambitious builders work alongside each other, when casual conversations become strategic partnerships, and when the person at the next office might just be your next strategic partner, investor, or a friend.
The coworking industry lost its way. Generic spaces, transient members, and no real sense of community. We're not interested in being another place where people work in isolation surrounded by strangers. We're building something that was attempted by many, but accomplished by very few.
Built By Builders
Resident started with a simple belief from founder Max Razmakhin: great companies grow faster when they work close to other great companies. Coworking promised a community but too often delivered free bagels on Mondays and no real connection. Resident fixes that with a curated club for builders and funders where conversations turn into partnerships and the company next door can become a collaborator or a strategic partner.
Today the community includes top tier entrepreneurs, CEOs, operators, and investors across two purpose-built locations: Madison Square for AI-forward teams and post-exit founders, and Union Square for consumer brands, DTC and the people who power their growth (opening soon).
At the core is a culture of adding value first. Members are not customers or tenants. They are residents who belong here, contribute and have a real stake in what the community becomes.
What Makes Us Different
- Give-First Philosophy
Every Resident embraces a give-first philosophy. We don't think it's possible to build a strong community if members view everything as a one-way street. We're seeking teams who are in it for the long game: companies that understand success comes from lifting others up, not just climbing over them.
- Purpose-Built Communities
We don't believe one size fits all. Our Madison Square location serves AI-forward companies, post-exit founders, and NYC's most connected builders. Our Union Square location is designed for consumer brands, DTC companies, and the agencies and investors who power their growth.
- Quality Over Quantity
We carefully vet every company to create a thriving professional ecosystem. We thoughtfully review every application based on industry, team culture, workspace needs, and their fit within the overall ambiance and values of the club.
How We Evaluate Who Belongs
We curate on purpose. Every application gets a real review to ensure residents are surrounded by like-minded people. We look at what you build, how you work and whether the club becomes stronger with you in it.
- Apply: Share what you do, team size and what you need from a workspace
- Visit: Tour the space, feel the vibe, meet our Head of Community
- 10-min conversation: If you like the space, we ask for a brief conversation about you and your company.
- Community lens: We consider overall fit for the community, not just what you’ll pay
- Onboarding: Once accepted, we take you through our comprehensive onboarding process and make intros and plug you into the right circles
Although the process may seem lengthy, we can get you started within 24 hours.
Who Is a Member
Resident is built on outcomes. The best proof is what happens when the right people share the same hallway. We’re new, but here are some of our member success stories.
- Co-Founder & CEO of Bevyl
“We met a Venmo co-founder through the Resident community. It all began as a quick, casual conversation that grew into a strategic partnership and two hackathon series.”
- Building Something New
“I came to Resident looking for my next big idea. The community gave me the momentum to start building, including several strong co-founder referrals.”
- Founder & CEO of Fibe
“Resident has raised our team’s productivity and made work more enjoyable. Coworking days with other founders have been a great and simple way to brainstorm and trade insights.”

Why We Chose “Resident”
A resident isn't just someone who occupies space. They belong somewhere, contribute to it, and have a stake in its success. You're not a customer here. You're not a tenant. You're a Resident: someone who calls this place home for their company, who contributes to its culture, and who grows alongside the community we're building together.
We show up, make introductions, share what works, and help each other build momentum.

What's a Company Club?
Today, this term doesn't have real meaning. We'd like to define it as a place where serious companies work, collaborate, network, socialize, and grow together. The word "coworking" lost its meaning and maybe for the best, as it creates opportunity for something new. This is where Resident steps in.
A Company Club is where you bring your A-game every day, surrounded by others doing the same. It's where deals get made over coffee, where late-night brainstorms turn into breakthrough moments, and where your company doesn't just rent space.
